FODEO, a non-profit organization in Tanzania, is committed to enhancing the lives of women, adolescents, and young women (AGYW), along with children, particularly in Mara and Simiyu regions. Through its social accountability monitoring (SAM) approach, FODEO empowers communities to hold their leaders responsible for improving service delivery in health, education, water, and agriculture, through Empowering Citizen for Sustainable Development - ECSD program

Since its inception, FODEO has engaged in various activities to achieve the objectives of its ECSD goal program. The Foundation for Civil Society, a leading organization, provides funding to Tanzanian local NGOs. Recognizing FODEO -  ECSD contribution in Tanzania, FODEO was awarded a certificate for restructuring its quality in building citizen capacity to hold themselves and their leaders accountable to improved service delivery in the health, education, water, and agriculture sectors.
