Climate change is a pressing global issue with devastating consequences for our planet. Rising temperatures, sea level rise, ocean acidification, and intensifying floods, droughts, and storms are just a few of the repercussions of climate change. These changes are worsening food and water security, exacerbating health risks, and endangering lives, livelihoods, vital ecosystems, and traditional ways of life.

FODEO, a non-profit organization in Tanzania, is addressing the challenges posed by climate change through community-led projects implemented using a social accountability or demand-driven approach. These projects empower communities to understand climate change and build resilience to its impacts.

A key focus area for FODEO is enhancing small rural farmers' awareness of climate change and the factors influencing their choices. The organization aims to improve farmers' understanding of climate change's negative effects, including how factors like gender, age, and education impact crop variety selection. Additionally, FODEO strives to strengthen institutional factors, such as extension services, to help farmers access climate change information.

FODEO invites individuals and organizations to partner with them in addressing climate change. Donations to FODEO can be easily made through the organization's account with TISS payment. Donations can be made as a flexible one-time or monthly amount, and there is an option to make a donation in memory or honor of someone.

Please consider donating to FODEO today to support their crucial work. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in the lives of small rural farmers in Tanzania as they adapt to the challenges of climate change.
