ABOUT ADMINISTRATION POLICY.
As you begin works at FODEO you are joining to work on community supports. You need to work hard to help rural people to fight against poverty THROUGH your new responsibilities. I encourage you to explore the many programs and activities available to you as you settle into FODEO employment. The information in this administrative policy will guide you through this process, as will your supervisor and your co-workers. We are pleased that you decided to join us. I hope you enjoy your relationship with FODEO. The administrative procedure is designed to acquaint employees with some FODEO and benefits. It is not a contract and should not be construed as creating contractual obligations.
The FODEO reserves the right to amend, supplement, or rescind any provisions of this manual as it deems appropriate, in its sole and absolute discretion. As policies and benefits are revised, updated pages will be distributed. Please keep this manual readily available and insert the updated material promptly so that it is current at all times. The Policy, as published in the present edition shall be effective February 2021.
If at any time, you have questions concerning the administrative manual or are in doubt about any procedures, you are encouraged to discuss them with your supervisor who will be your primary source of information regarding FODEO administrative policy. You may download you’re a copy of the policies and procedures as well by accessing the website at www.fodeo.or.tz.

Foundation for development organization (FODEO) that is a non-profit Organization which was registered on September 17th, 2009, Certificate number 00NGO/00003431 with TIN number 138-865-649 and its Head quarter is located at Nyashimo ward which is found in Busega District.
FODEO empowering women, girls, youth and disabled people with information, knowledge and skills to enable them make life-affirming, healthy choices and enhancing in participation to entrepreneurship activities to reach Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations ending 2030 and the Tanzania development vision 2025.
Through organizing outreaches, community engagement projects, counseling and recovery programs, skills of economic training and capacity building programs. The FODEO aims to restore hope and dignified living to Women, girls, youth and disabled people.
Advocacy policy objective.
To ensure all people working at FODEO actively promotes individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision making. This policy and procedure also provides current information and support to women, youth, children and people with a disability and their family regarding the range of advocacy services available to them.
Child protection is used to describe a set of services designed to protect children and young people who are under the age of 18 years. For example, according to Tanzania Law of the Child, 2009, a child has a right to do light work and a right to be paid remuneration equal to the value of the work done.
The Law of the Child, 2009 requires that no person is allowed to employ or engage a child in any exploitative labour or any work or trade that exposes the child to activities of sexual nature whether paid or not. Furthermore, the law requires that all children should be protected against any discrimination or acts that may have negative effect on them taking into consideration their age and evolving capacities.
In addition, the law states that no person shall employ or engage a child in a contract of service performance which requires the child to work at night. In order to safeguard the child, it is prohibited to employ or engage a child in any hazardous work. These requirements of will also apply to FODEO staff, partners, consultants, associates and any other person working for or on behalf of FODEO.
The present Policy applies to any fraudulent or corrupt practices involving FODEO personnel. All personnel shall acknowledge having received, read and understood the present Policy, together with the FODEO Personnel, and undertake to abide by its terms.
